The remainder of the budget will be spent on the following:

 

  • Continue our non-compulsory swimming lessons for Year 2&4 and extra swimming in Year 5
  • Continue Gifted & talented for Basketball
  • Continue with CPD for staff in Basketball
  • Continue to give children opportunities to experience and develop interests in a variety in sports.

 

What we would like to do in the future:

 

  • Maintain our Gold award from Your School Games Scheme
  • Continue to offer multiple opportunities to develop skill in sport  
  • Renewal of Cage Flooring

Year 2,4,5 swimming Lessons

 

Over Academic Year 72 places offered in Year 2 and Year 4. Not all places will be taken up so some children may get the opportunity to go twice.

90 children from Year 5 will have access to the Sports Premium

Increase of children’s ability when they reach year 5 for their compulsory lessons.

Increased parental awareness. 

With good links to the Botwell leisure centre the hope is that the children will continue privately as parents can identify the benefits.

Playground and PE equipment

 

 

Various equipment over KS1 & KS2 has been brought to update or replace previous equipment.

Children have had more equipment to use and experiment with. 

Equipment will always be available.

CPD and G&T Cricket Coaching

G&T Cricket Club

30 Year 5 Children

Children with a keen interest in Cricket get the opportunity to develop and improve their skills

Develop children’s skill ability within Cricket then can be executed at a later date.

Muga Flooring Contribution

Whole School

Children have been able to have PE Lessons and general activities on a brand new flooring with lines representing different sports

Enabling children to utilise the flooring and markings to continue to keep them active.

Staff and pupils

Children are able to recognise what is appropriate wear for PE days and be able to identify when their PE days are.

T-shirts will be passed along when staff leave in order for future staff members so that children can continue to have them as a resource. 

Anomaly Interactive Limited

Whole School

All children get the opportunity to use the boards in lessons, playtimes or 1-1 sessions. Has allowed them to keep active in a different way along with setting themselves challenges to meet.

All children will continue to have access to help maintain high levels or co-ordination and reaction time.
