Your Country Needs You!

Autumn 1

We were in the middle of our topic lesson, when we heard an air raid siren so we travelled to the 'countryside' to get away from the danger. In our families, we waited to be collected by our new guardians. 

Some of us were separated from our brothers and sisters! Some of us were chosen to work on the farm or help with cleaning! Some of us were left behind!

It really helped us to imagine how scary it must have been for evacuees at the time!
